Shortcast

01 / Reels

Instagram

Private beta testing

For Creator and Business accounts.

Connect a professional Instagram account linked to a Facebook Page you manage. Shortcast currently uses Facebook authorization to identify that Page and Instagram account.

Eligible account
Instagram Creator or Business, linked to the selected Facebook Page.
Publishing flow
Prepare the video and caption in Shortcast, review the Instagram destination, and confirm a Reel upload.
Before you send
Confirm the account and caption. A Reel may be public; do not assume the beta provides private test publishing.

Personal Instagram accounts and independent Instagram-only login are not supported in the current integration.

02 / Page Reels

Facebook Pages

Private beta testing

Your Page, with your permission.

Authorize Facebook and select the Page you intend to publish to. You must have the relevant Page access and grant the required publishing permissions.

Eligible account
A Facebook Page you can manage and publish to.
Publishing flow
Review the Page and prepared text, then upload the chosen video as a Page Reel.
Before you send
Verify the destination Page. Treat the resulting Reel as potentially public and check its actual visibility on Facebook.

Publishing to a personal Facebook profile is not supported. Facebook controls the final presentation and available interactions.

03 / Channel video

YouTube

Private beta testing

Choose the channel, not just the email.

Authorize the intended YouTube channel. A Google account can manage more than one channel, including a Brand Account channel, so verify the channel name in Shortcast.

Eligible account
A YouTube channel you are authorized to manage.
Publishing flow
Set the title, description, supported visibility and Made for Kids choice, review, then upload.
Before you send
Use Private for an initial controlled test. Google test-user access and API restrictions still apply.

YouTube decides how the uploaded video is presented, including whether it qualifies as a Short. A private beta test does not establish public API approval.

04 / Two distinct modes

TikTok

Sandbox access only

Finish in TikTok, or test Direct Post.

An ordinary TikTok account can be eligible; a Business account is not required. Current access is limited to the app’s approved sandbox testers.

Draft in TikTok
Inbox delivery and playback have been tested on iPhone. Open the notification and finish publishing inside TikTok; paste the prepared caption if needed. Uploading to the inbox is not automatic publication.
Direct Post
Implemented, with end-to-end validation and public approval pending. Restricted unaudited tests require a private posting account and Only me visibility.
Separate permissions
The two modes use different posting permissions. Switching mode may require reconnecting; optional statistics permission is separate from the permission to upload or publish.

Automatic public posting is not available. Broader access requires TikTok review and audit, and those outcomes are not guaranteed.

Understand the two TikTok modes

Details will vary by platform.

Titles, captions, hashtags, locations, audiences and interaction settings are not interchangeable. Shortcast shows supported controls and the fitted outgoing text before sending. Engagement counts also depend on available permissions and platform data.

Each platform processes the uploaded video and controls its final framing, quality and distribution. Check the actual result there.
